There you can find many restaurants and neighborhood stores that convey the essence of the city. It is also an area with plenty of accommodation for tourists. Oh, and it's worth mentioning the great attractions there, such as the Hard Rock Stadium, Kaseya Center and the famous Ocean Drive.
4. Española Way, a great tip for a night out!
This small village in South Beach is home to stores, bars and various nightclubs. This is an excellent option for those who want to go out at night and are interested in a theme reminiscent of Spanish culture, with lots of colors and lights. If you pass by, be sure to try the various dishes and get ready to listen to music from all over the world. The best thing about it is that, as it's a small place, you can see a lot of attractions, as they're close together.
5. Visit the Wynwood Arts District
For those who are art fans, a good option to enjoy an open-air gallery and take a different tour: visit the Wynwood Arts District! The neighborhood, which had been abandoned and was deteriorating, has gained several graffitied walls, lots of art and restaurants that attract tourists all year round.
Wynwood Walls is a kind of "graffiti museum", with walls painted by countless artists from all over the world. You can't miss it, can you? Imagine the photos you'll be able to take!
6. Shopping is at Bayside Marketplace, Sawgrass and Dolphin Mall!
Bayside is one of the nicest malls in the city, not only because of the stores, but also because of the architecture, which offers open spaces with restaurants where you can eat outdoors. It's a good option for lunch during the day, enjoying the view of the sea, and in the evening you can enjoy the nightlife.
Sawgrass is the seventh largest mall in the United States and the second largest in Florida. There you'll find a bit of everything, including clothes, shoes, electronics, souvenirs and much more.
The Dolphin Mall also leaves nothing to be desired. For those who want to shop, the prices are well worth it. There are more than 240 retail stores with the world's most famous brands.
7. Watch a game at the Kaseya Center
Have you ever thought about watching an official NBA game in a large arena? This is possible at the Kaseya Center, the stadium that is home to the Miami Heat, one of the best teams in the basketball league. The venue is very large and located in Downtown Miami.
Even if you don't like the sport, my recommendation is to visit the stadium anyway, after all, according to American custom, the games have a very large structure. What's more, there are musical performances during the breaks, dances, mascots and much more.
8. Take a walk on Lincoln Road
Lincoln Road is one of the city's main avenues and needs to be on your itinerary of what to do in Miami! It's located between Mid-Beach and South Beach and acts as a kind of open-air mall with stores, restaurants and many art galleries.
The best thing about the place is walking along the beautiful streets and taking the opportunity to store in the big stores there, such as Apple, Levis, Macy's, Sephora and others.
9. Visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
There are places that are breathtaking, aren't there? The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is one of them! The place was built to be a winter mansion and has classic European architecture. Today, the Vizcaya functions as a museum and is very popular with tourists who want to take some photos.
To enter the site you have to pay an entrance fee of 20 dollars, but in my opinion it's well worth it. The gardens follow the Renaissance style and the tour lasts around 2 hours.
10. Discover and dive into the Venetian Pool
The Venetian Pool is named after - and resembles - the city of Venice in Italy. It is a public swimming pool in Coral Gables, which was inaugurated in 1923 and still enchants visitors today.
This is a great idea of what to do in Miami, especially for families with children. The scenery is beautiful and will guarantee lots of fun and relaxation during your trip.
11. Visit the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Are you passionate about science? Then you definitely can't miss the Patricia and Philip Frost Science Museum in Miami. This is an incredible place, full of exhibitions, workshops and entertaining shows.
